Altera PHYLite IP supports different I/O standards and termination on input and output buffers. This can be configured through the PHYLite IP Parameter Editor. When the user selects calibrated termination values on the I/O buffer, the user is required to connect the RZQ pin from OCT Block to an external resistor.
However, the On-Chip-Termination (OCT) block is not created during the PHYLite IP generation. This video will demonstrate to the user how to create the OCT block and associate it with the terminated I/O buffer used in the PHYLite IP.
