TRINAMIC offers their TMC8670-BI, which is an EtherCAT motion controller IC that handles real-time critical tasks faster than any software-based solution. Suitable for 3-phase BLDC and BLAC motors and 2-phase stepper motors, the TMC8670 integrates all algorithms for a high-end, fast field-oriented control and high-performance real-time fieldbus interface. Designed for an operating voltage of 1.2 volts to 3.3 volts, the TMC8670 is a single axis embedded servo controller for typical encoders used in robotics, industrial automation and embedded motion control systems. With a PWM engine including space vector pulse width modulation, this IC is suitable for demanding, low inductance motors and highest dynamic positioning tasks. The device meets the minus 40 degrees Celsius to 125 degrees Celsius automotive grade temperature specification.
